Nothing from Materia.
in the landfill

The main news regarding mattresses concerns waste abandoned under bridges, along roads or in extra-urban areas.
We would prefer that our mattresses not even end up in landfills.

Brentaflex decided to invest in Materia a line that recovers craftsmanship in favor of sustainability.

Brentaflex produces pocket springs, foam or latex mattresses for the Home and Hotel categories.
While continuing to work in the traditional segment, we feel the responsibility And the need to try to create new alternative ways and more sustainable in the production of mattresses.

Handmade, therefore sustainable.

In this sector, as in many others, the products are not recyclable because in fact it is not possible to separate the components of which they are made and supply them separately. Or this is possible at a cost that is too high.

The decision to work with pure, separable materials held together by craftsmanship allows the individual parts that make up the mattress to be separated and 100% recycled.

Artisanal,
not luxurious.

Materia is not a cheap product

The processing carried out completely in Italy, the supply of local and high quality raw materials and the processing by hand make it a medium-high end product.

On the other hand, we have tried to give up frills and sophistication of any kind in order to contain the price in a selected, but more widely accessible range.

Our values

Sustainability is a long road, full of contradictions, but it must be taken.

Our values

Making a mattress by hand technically allows us to obtain a product that we can disassemble and recycle and to take back the time to do it.

Sustainable

It also means economically sustainable, so not a luxury product, zero frills, we've given up everything we could give up.

RECYCLABLE

The future is uncertain, but being able to dispose the different materials separately after using a mattress is the only difference we can make.

What about all the rest of the mattresses we produce?

Sore topic. Continue as it is.

As with the automotive market, or renewable energy, sustainable development projects are combined with existing technology, hoping to accelerate the transition.

Meanwhile, in the traditional segment, a series of choices are being made in favor of processes that meet at least the criteria of: zero waste, energy autonomy, local supply and increasing use of recycled material.

“It's a matter of responsibility.
To know, after all, that we can do something better.”
Founders

Making mattresses for people.

Since 1968 our grandfather has been making mattresses. He did it with our mother and the other children. Now we do it with her.

We believe that they have built a lot, a healthy, concrete company that produces to order and sells directly every single piece that leaves the factory with zero waste of resources.

Most employees stay with us for many years and we don't try to be family, we try to create a workplace where people are rewarded for what they do and are treated with respect.

We feel a responsibility for this changing world and we think that starting to do our thing on sustainability is necessary.
